History

Ronnie Stanley began working in the lawn and garden industry back in the mid-60's shortly after graduating from college. Then in 1968 he purchased the Hester-Wilson Co. and began his own company, Stanley Lawn & Garden.

1948 Hester-Wilson Farm Service Ad

The Hester-Wilson Co. was founded in Sanford, NC in 1941. As you can see in this Hester-Wilson Farm Service ad from the 1948 edition of "Know Sanford," they mainly sold fertilizer, feed and seed.

During their 27 year history, the Hester-Wilson Co. grew and changed to meet the growing and changing needs of our community. Ronnie Stanley has continued that growth and change for over 37 years by serving our lawn and garden needs with the Stanley Lawn & Garden tradition of offering us quality products, friendly service and knowledgeable advice!
